I was shocked at the level of detail in this company's report. Simply amazing. They went above and beyond what was necessary as if they were inspecting a home for themselves. I cannot recommend them enough. Do not hesitate to use ClearVUE, you will not be disappointed.

Construction Inspections FAQs

1. What is a final home inspection?

A final home inspection is the last detailed evaluation of a newly built home before closing. It helps confirm that visible systems, finishes and components are installed properly, functioning as expected and ready for move-in.

2. Why is a final inspection necessary if my builder already did a walkthrough?

Builder walkthroughs often focus on cosmetic items, while a ClearVUE final inspection looks deeper at system performance, visible safety concerns, workmanship and potential issues that may be missed during a standard walkthrough.

3. What does ClearVUE inspect during a final inspection?

We review HVAC, electrical, plumbing, visible safety items, finish quality, window and door operation, appliance installation and overall workmanship. The inspection is designed to help you understand the completed condition of the home.

4. When should I schedule a final inspection?

Schedule the inspection shortly before your final builder walkthrough, once construction and installations are complete but before closing. This gives you time to review any findings with your builder.

5. How long does a final inspection take?

Most final home inspections take around 2 to 3 hours, depending on the size, layout and complexity of the property.

6. Do I need to be present for the final inspection?

You are not required to attend, but we recommend it when possible. Being present gives you the chance to see concerns firsthand and ask questions during the inspection process.

7. Will I get a report after the inspection?

Yes. You will receive a detailed digital report with photos and explanations of the findings. This report can be used during your final builder meeting or when requesting corrections.

8. What if issues are found during the final inspection?

Your report helps you clearly communicate concerns with your builder before closing. Many builders will address identified items under warranty or before final delivery.

9. Is this the same as a pre-drywall inspection?

No. A pre-drywall inspection happens earlier in construction before the walls are closed. A final inspection happens near the end of the build to check completed systems, finishes and functionality.

10. Is Fort Mill within ClearVUE’s service area for final inspections?

Yes. Fort Mill is within ClearVUE’s service coverage area, along with Charlotte & the Carolinas and surrounding communities.
